Jeopardy!’s Think! is maybe the most recognizable piece of music in recorded history. If you play it when a baby is born that baby will have chronic anxiety disorders FOREVER, just because it was introduced into a world of stress. Fact.
The song was composed by Merv Griffin, who created the show, in 1964. He originally wrote it as a lullaby for his son, calling it “A Time for Tony,” which is why Tony has been in Freudian therapy six days a week since then. It’s used in the opening to the show, remixed in different ways throughout the show’s history, but the 1984-1991 era (Alex Trebek’s first) is far and away the best and should be implemented IMMEDIATELY:
Like, is this a Journey song or something? So unbearably awesome. It makes the current version sound so whatever:
This is also a song that lends itself to Alternate Lyrics (!). Mine are just the doo-dee-doo-doo ones, but I bet you have some. WHAT ARE THEY? (Comment to answer, I guess? I’ve never tried this before.)
